November 2006: RBSG Contract Renewed

Having submitted a tender earlier in the year, the Firm was delighted to have their RBSG contract renewed for several years. This confirmed the Firms view that they provide a quality volume processed remortgage proposition. The RBSG work continues to be a major part of the Firms top quality Client base.

October 2006: Gordons awarded Lexcel quality mark

President of The Law Society, Fiona Woolf, said "We are delighted that Gordons Property Lawyers have achieved the Law Society’s prestigious quality mark – Lexcel. June 2006: Tenth Anniversary

This special anniversary was celebrated in style at London's Tiger Tiger. The night, enjoyed by all, showed the Partners' appreciation of the staff's hard work and commitment.

April 2006: Visualfiles Upgrade Completed

After months of planning and testing all Live cases on the Case Management System were seamlessly imported into the latest version of Visualfiles. This has provided extra functionality to staff and Clients with improved Case Tracking, email communications and scanning facilities.

January 2006: Another Successful Year

Management Accountants release calendar year end figures which confirm 2005 as the most successful in the history of the business. Despite 2005 being a luke warm economic climate, the year ended with turnover and completions both up 10% on 2004.

September 2005: Visualfiles Upgrade Begins

Latest Visualfiles to be installed. In the strive for excellence, optimum efficiency and best Customer Experience, the Firm ordered the latest software upgrade to its Case Management System, Visualfiles 8. The new features include scanning facilities, integration with Outlook and improved MI reporting. The Go Live date is planned for mid-April 2006 to coincide with the double Bank Holiday weekend.

August 2005: Accounts Department Moves In

Accounts move in. After working from separate premises in Marlow, the Accounts function moved into the purpose built offices in Maidenhead. Immediately this improved efficiency and strengthened relations between the Accounts team and the staff responsible for completing cases. 3 months of preparation ensured the move was seamless.

June 2005: Staff Healthcare Scheme

AXA PPP Healthcare provide the Cashback Scheme to staff enhancing the benefits provided by the Firm to employees. The scheme was well received with the Firm paying all first year premiums as part of pay reviews.

May 2005: New Maidenhead Office

Over the Bank Holiday weekend on 27th May 2005 the Firm moved its whole operation and over 100 staff to offices in Maidenhead in the prestigious Cordwallis Park. The Firm has taken floor space twice the size of its Bourne End offices.

April 2005: Moving to Maidenhead

The Firm is pleased to confirm that due to continued increasing levels of business it intends to move into larger premises in Maidenhead at the end pf May 2005.

March 2005: AXA PPP Healthcare

AXA PPP Healthcare Cashback Plan and the Firm joined forces to offer all employees a fully subsidised healthcare plan through AXA PPP a market leader for such products. The feedback from staff was very positive.

18th January 2005: Investors in People

The firm has recently undergone the 1st Diagnostic Assessment as part of the Investors in People Standard. This is being undertaken with the assistance of Milton Keynes and Oxford business link.

6th January 2005: Conference Speech

Following the success of Bob Bhalla's (Partner from the Bourne End office) conference address in December, he has been invited to speak at this years conference to be held on 5th December.

9th December 2004: Conference Speech

Bob Bhalla, Partner from the Bourne End office (one of the top ten firms by volume in the country) was invited to speak at a recent conference. The address on 'Volume Conveyancing' was received with interest by the delegates attending the London conference.

22nd November 2004: New Solicitor Appointed

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Ish Chechi to the Firm. He will be working closely with the existing team dealing with private sale and purchase transactions.

22nd September 2004: ISO 9001 Accreditation

Ian McGleish, Lead QMS Assessor, who undertook the assessment for Quality Management Systems, paid particular tribute to "the investment in people, processes and training that enables Gordons Property Lawyers to provide efficient service to their Clients". The award recognises Gordon's commitment to an exceptional quality of service. With only around 3% of UK business holding this certificate, Gordons are at the forefront of quality service and customer care.

10th September 2004: Gordons Property Lawyers Achieve ISO 9001

After an in-depth audit, the Firm is pleased to announce that it has successfully achieved the internationally recognised accolade of ISO 9001.

Commenting on the achievement, Bob Bhalla, Partner from the Bourne End office, said "We are delighted to have been awarded the ISO 9001 Certification. It is the recognition of the hard work and dedication that all of our staff show in providing the best service possible to clients."

30th June 2004: Records Smashed

The Firm are delighted to achieve over 3700 completions for June beating the previous best in April '04 this year. The growth experienced over the last 6 months has far exceeded the Firm's forecast & putting them well on track for the continued growth they wished to achieve in 2004.

1st March 2004: New Sales Manager Appointed

We are pleased to announce that Mr David Cadogan has been appointed as the new Sales Manager. David has been given the task of changing the Client mix so that the Firm may deal with the transactional work that it is now geared up to handle.

30th April 2004: Record Breaking Month

Another new record is set for the Firm as Completions exceed 3500 for the month. Increased levels of activity across all Clients led to the fantastic result.

5th February 2004: RBSG Panel Appointment

The Firm is pleased to confirm it has been appointed a preferred supplier of th Royal Bank of Scotland Group Volume Remortgage Panel of Solicitors for England & Wales. Work commenced on these prestigious brands on the 5th of February with the Firm undertaking RBS Current Account Remortgages and RBS Buy to Let Remortgages. Managing Partner Bob Bhalla stated "It is a fantastic opportunity for us and we are ecstatic to have beaten the other Firms in getting onto this prestigious panel. It reinforces our belief that we are one of the biggest & best volume re-mortgage legal practices in the U.K."

14th January 2004: Planning Application

As volumes of instructions grow, the Firm has made an application for a two storey extension to its offices in Bucks. If granted this will allow the business to increase staff by 18%.

31st December 2003: End of Calender Year

The Firm ended the year completing over 25,000 completions, a record for its history. Staff were given time off between Christmas and the New Year to recharge their batteries!

18th and 19th November 2003: Mortgage Business Expo 2003, Earls Court, London

Stand G39 saw the Firm represent it's theme of solving conveyancing headaches aimed at Brokers and Intermediaries. The Expo was well attended by over 4000 visitors and the feedback and interest shown in the Stand far exceeded expectations. The Firm hopes to continue with its marketing plan, which encompasses exhibiting at the Expo both at London and in the forthcoming show at Manchester.

12th November 2003: Law Society Gazette Award 2003 for 'Excellence in Risk Management'

At the Gazette Award evening the Firm came second in the category for which they were nominated. The Award ceremony held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London was attended by the Managing Partner Bob Bhalla and a table of his team who incidentally also won the charity raffle!

1st November 2003: Gordons Break 2500 completions barrier:

The firm is pleased to confirm that it has reached record breaking 2500 completions for the calendar month October 2003. Instruction levels for September and October were particularly buoyant and together with an attack on ageing cases resulted in a record-breaking month for the business. Interestingly, October 2002 was the most productive month last year. However this years October completions saw a 34% increase on the same period last year.

21st October 2003: Shortlisted for Law Society Gazette Award 2003 for 'Excellence in Risk Management'

Gordons Property Lawyers has been shortlisted from the all the firm's in England and Wales for a national award in 'Excellence in Risk Management.' The firm has demonstrated processes and systems that best reduce risk and in doing so become more efficient and protected from negligence claims.
